Cumberland
Falls State Resort Park
Located
in the Daniel Boone National Forest, Cumberland
Falls State Resort Park is Kentucky's top
drawing State Park, and is the perfect
destination for Family get-a-ways and vacations,
Business meetings, weddings, and many other
special events. Known as the Niagara of the
South, Cumberland Falls forms a 125 foot-wide
curtain that plunges 60 feet into a gorge below,
making it the 2nd largest waterfall in North
America. On a clear night and with a full moon,
the mist of Cumberland Falls creates the magic
of a Moonbow, the Western Hemisphere's only such
phenomenon.

Sheltowee
Trace Outfitters
Sheltowee
Trace Outfitters takes its name from the Sheltowee
Trace Trail, a 265-mile footpath that
extends from Pickett State Park in TN, northeast
through the Daniel Boone National Forest to North
of Morehead, KY on KY 377. Sheltowee (translated
as "Big Turtle") was the name given to
Daniel Boone by the Shawnee when he was adopted
into their tribe. Seventeen miles of the Sheltowee
Trace run along the shores of the Cumberland
River, our summer raft trip. http://www.ky-rafting.com/about.htm
